(New York, NY, September 2, 2026) Discover e-Solutions (DeSL), a provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions for the fashion, apparel, footwear and retail industries, today announced the launch of its Digital Product Passport (DPP) solution.
The new functionality enables brands to create and publish Digital Product Passports directly from the product, supplier, quality and certification information managed within DeSL PLM.
As Digital Product Passport requirements continue to develop, brands face the challenge of bringing together product information, material and supplier data, certifications, quality records and supporting documentation from across the supply chain. DeSL’s approach uses PLM as the foundation for managing and governing that information throughout the product lifecycle.
Rather than creating a separate static record, DeSL generates each passport from the current approved information held within the platform. This allows information presented to consumers, retail partners and other stakeholders to remain connected to its underlying product and supplier records, including version history and approvals.
The solution brings together product specifications, materials, supplier information, declarations, inspections and certifications. DeSL’s AI document intelligence can also analyze supporting documents, identify required information and expiration dates, and compare documentation against information maintained within PLM. This provides brands with greater visibility into the source and status of information used within a Digital Product Passport.
“Digital Product Passports are fundamentally a data and governance challenge. Brands need to understand where information comes from, how it has been maintained and what evidence supports it. By building DPP capabilities into PLM, that information can be managed as part of the product lifecycle and used to create passports when and where they are needed.”
- Colin Marks, CEO of DeSL
Digital Product Passports can be generated at the appropriate product level and made available through QR codes, portals, retail systems and open APIs. Different information can be presented according to the intended audience while remaining connected to the same governed product record.
DeSL supports a phased approach to DPP implementation, allowing brands to establish their product, supplier and compliance data foundation before expanding the information published through their passports. As requirements evolve, additional data fields, documentation and certification requirements can be incorporated into the existing framework.
The DeSL Digital Product Passport solution is available as part of the DeSL platform. Explore how DPP generates passports from the product, supplier, quality and certification data already managed in PLM. To learn more visit the DPP solutions page or request a demo with a DeSL representative.
